Experience technology and art like never before.

The Cyborg Project is an immersive performance held both in-person and virtually that combines dance, film, sound, light, costume, and new technology to explore our bodies' hybridization with the technological age.

Set live at The 418 Projects new space in Downtown Santa Cruz, The Cyborg Project, is held in a 9 room 2 story old movie theatre in which audience members will be able to wander throughout the space and choose their own adventure.

For those that cant make it in-person, we have a virtual 3D performance that is almost like being there live.

Created by 4 interdisciplinary artists Nathan Hirschaut, Avital Meshi, Treyden Chiaravalloti, and Michael Flora and performed by 7 renown dancers from across the world, The Cyborg Project is an experience of technology and art like never before.

FAQ'S

  • What is an immersive performance?
    Immersive theater differentiates itself from traditional theater by removing the stage and immersing audiences within the performance itself.
  • How can I buy tickets?
    Tickets can be bought online for $50 and at the door for $50. Tickets for our virtual event can only be bought online.
  • When should I arrive?
    Arrive 15 minutes before your assigned showtime. Shows will begin promptly at their assigned start time. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late arrivals. If you miss your time slot, your ticket is no longer valid.
  • How long will the show be?
    The shows run time is approximately 1 hour.
  • What if I arrive late or miss my timeslot?
    Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late arrivals. Due to the limited number of timed tickets we sell, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
  • Can I refund my ticket?
    Tickets are nonrefundable and we can’t guarantee exchanges.
  • What age is The Cyborg Project for?
    The Cyborg Project is recommended for a 13+ audience. Partial nudity is included in the show.
  • Do I need to print my ticket?
    No, all tickets are saved virtually.
  • Do you have a bathroom?
    Yes, there are large bathrooms available.
  • Is there parking?
    There are many parking spots downtown. We recommend parking in the Trader Joes parking lot across the street.
  • Are you wheelchair accessible?
    Our bottom floor is however our top floor is not.
  • Is photography or videography allowed?
    We allow photography and videotaping in our lobby but ask you to keep your eyes on the show elsewhere.
  • How do you keep The Cyborg Project space clean?
    We maintain a limited number of ticket sales. We thoroughly disinfect equipment in between uses. We follow all CDC and local government guidelines. All attendies must wear masks.
